Kegna Beverages Share Company proudly launched its flagship product, Kegna Beer, during a high-profile event on June 7, 2025, at the Addis Ababa Convention Center. The ceremony attracted over 700 distinguished guests, including senior government officials, national stakeholders, and industry leaders, marking a milestone in Ethiopian brewing history.
Crafted with care, Kegna Beer is a premium lager with 5% ABV, brewed using locally sourced, high-quality ingredients, including malted barley, hops, and water. It is set to hit the market mid-June in 33cl and 50cl bottles and 30-liter kegs, catering to Ethiopia’s evolving beer culture.
“This isn’t just made in Ethiopia—it’s made of Ethiopia,” said Abiyu Abera, Commercial Manager of Kegna Beverages. “It represents a shared vision, a collective legacy.”
Kegna Brewery, spanning 110 hectares in Ginchi Town, Oromia Region, features state-of-the-art facilities, merging global brewing standards with local expertise. With a production capacity of over 3 million hectoliters annually, it symbolizes a significant investment in Ethiopia’s industrial sector.
