Women’s Health: Why Pcos Matters

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is not just a hormonal issue; it is also a metabolic one where women struggle with insulin resistance, which causes the body to struggle with managing blood sugar. If it is not properly treated early on, it leads to:

  • Fatigue.
  • Increased diabetes risk.
  • It also raises other long term health issues such as heart disease, and mental health struggles.

But there’s hope: lifestyle changes and targeted treatments can significantly improve symptoms and reduce risks.  The key is addressing root causes like insulin resistance and inflammation rather than just masking symptoms.  Next edition, we’ll explore how personalized PCOS approaches through personalized testing, diet, and natural therapies.
