Yordanos Abate is a creative and talented artist with a distinctive style and passion for vibrant design. Mostly self-taught she has developed the artistic skill of creating the most exquisite designs that she paints on pottery, trays, furnishings as well as wooden boxes, clay bells, cups and pendants.
She hand-paints varied and colourful designs on existing items and then glazes the objects, which make beautiful accessories for any home. She also takes commissions to paint any personal item you already have and would like illustrated. Yordi has even been commissioned to paint a violin!
In addition to modern designs, Yordi also creates handmade Ethiopian cultural serving trays, carefully hand-painted with traditional designs. Each piece is unique and made with attention to detail.
