Garlic Bread

Toasty, buttery, herby, covered in a dusting of salty parmesan cheese, piping hot and fresh out of the oven—our homemade garlic bread recipe is everything you’re craving right now, and then some.

INGRIEDENTS

• 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (8oz/240gm)

• 1/4 cup minced fresh parsley

• 6 garlic cloves, minced

• 1 tsp garlic powder

• 1/2 tsp sea salt (only 1/4 tsp if using salted butter)

• 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

• 1 (1 lb) rustic loaf of bread, baguette or ciabatta

METHOD:

1. In a medium sized bowl, mix together the butter, parsley, garlic, garlic powder, salt and half of the grated parmesan cheese until fully combined.

2. Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise, being careful to keep the thickness the same on both sides.

3. Turn the oven to HIGH.

4. Using a knife or spatula, spread half of the garlic butter mixture onto one half of the loaf. Repeat with remaining butter on the second half. Set the bread buttered side up on a rimmed baking sheet and sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan cheese.

5. Place the baking sheet in the oven on the center rack and broil/grill until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Watch carefully so that the bread doesn’t burn.

6. Remove the bread from the oven and garnish with a little extra parsley for color.

Serve immediately.
