RAY Cosmetics, specializes in recycling fish scales and skin from agricultural waste into sustainable and eco-friendly skincare and haircare products.
RAY Cosmetics extracts collagen from fish skin waste for production of skin and hair-care products. The protein extracted in further processes from the fish waste gives moisturizing, anti-aging, and detoxifying characteristics to their products.
The start-up not only uses agro-waste and prevents it from contaminating local water resources, but it also focuses on affordable natural-based cosmetic products and supports local communities.
One of the abundant resources in Ethiopia is water and a major source of fish in the country’s most beautiful cities like Bahirdar, Hawassa and Arbaminch.
