Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting Taza Greens for lunch after being invited by my cousin Sami Kebede. I also went together with my friend Dename Debero, and from the moment we arrived, the experience was warm and memorable. We were welcomed with their famous butterfly pea flower tea that magically changed into red-purple once honey was added. The drink had a unique flavor that slightly reminded me of traditional Ethiopian areke local alcohol, making it both exciting and refreshing.
For lunch, we enjoyed a delicious variety of Ethiopian dishes. The Key Sega Wet (red spicy meat stew) was rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The Alecha Sega Wet (yellow meat stew) was mild yet very tasty, while the Kuanta Firfir prepared with dried meat stew mixed with injera was absolutely satisfying and authentic. Every dish was carefully prepared and beautifully presented.
What made the experience even more special was the hospitality of the owner, Menen, who treated customers with kindness and professionalism. The waiters were also attentive, friendly, and made us feel comfortable throughout our visit. The atmosphere of the restaurant was relaxing and welcoming, making it a perfect place for lunch with friends and family.
Although we visited during lunchtime, I also heard that their breakfast is one of the best experiences to try in Addis Ababa. Overall, the experience was excellent, and I highly recommend Taza Greens to anyone looking for quality Ethiopian food, healthy dining, and outstanding service.
