Empowering Minds: Inner Peace – A Path To Mental Well-Being

According to WHO statistics for Ethiopia in 2017, 4,480,113 individuals (4.7% pf the population) and 3,139,003 people (3.3% of the population) grappled with the weight of depression and anxiety respectively. This is a clear reflection of how the strains of modern life – the juggling act of finances, the roller coaster of relationships, and the hurdles we face – can take a toll on our mental well-being.

Mental health isn’t a mystery; it’s a vital piece of our well-being. It’s the strength in vulnerability, the courage to reach out, and the understanding that our collective unity guides us through our own experiences; we’re all in this together!

Inner Peace, a company with a dedicated platform for mental health, strives to foster these values for individuals and communities. Through a range of mental health initiatives, such as gatherings to discuss and address mental health topics (የአዕምሮ ጤና ወግ/Ye Aemro Tena Weg) and awareness raising, open conversations are encouraged about various mental health topics. These initiatives take the form of panel discussions led by expert psychologists and psychiatrists to stimulate knowledge and experience sharing among mental well-being advocates and interested individuals. Inner Peace also hosts biweekly live discussions on Instagram where experts address issues related to mental health from different walks of life.

At the heart of Inner Peace lies an unwavering commitment: to sculpt a nation where mental health stands tall, where stigma is but a distant memory. As a result, it strives to ensure the well-being of every individual by creating accessible and affordable mental health training and related services.  Let’s come together to replace ignorance with knowledge, fear with compassion, and isolation with connection.
