A client struggles to conceive, undergoes the standard fertility workup and is told everything looks “normal.” The resulting diagnosis? Unexplained Infertility.
For the woman on the receiving end, this label is a dead end. If the basic labs are fine, where do you go? The focus remains narrowly on hormones and anatomy, leaving many to feel hopeless or that their condition is a mystery.
However, the body is not a collection of separate parts. It is a deeply intertwined system. While standard hormone tests are a good starting point, they only scratch the surface. They fail to account for complex physiological processes happening beneath the surface specifically, in the gut.
What if the root cause isn’t in the ovaries, but rather in the digestive tract? Next month, we explore in detail how gut health affects infertility.
