Historical Hager Fikir Theater To Be Restored And Reopened

The Hager Fikir theater is going to be open to the public after it’s renovation.

The theater’s manager Abdulkarim Jemal said that the Hager Fikir theater will be open for service within two months. In Africa’s oldest theater (Hager Fikir Theater) organized by patriots on July 11, 1927 E.C. This is what it was founded on. The theater manager Mr. Abdulkarim Jemal said that the theater that has been under renovation since the eve of COVID 19 iand s now being completed ; the renovation work is being completed including renewing and restoring chairs, curtains etc.

The renovation has been done sympathetically according to its original historical interior and exterior and the renovation process has been overseen by the city’s culture, tourism and art bureau of heritage preservation.

Desere Fikir Theater renovation work will include creating comfort for customers and enhancing the stage so it will be able to present better shows and attract more customers.

Desere Fikir Theater has 128 permanent employees and it has stated that there will be no decrease in the number of employees during the 19 months of renovation.
